2012 CABERNET FRANC

Best known for its use in blending, Cabernet Franc is worth exploring on its own. Well structured and elegant, this red wine shows fresh, ripe raspberry, red cherry, black current, and black mountain huckleberry with hints of fresh tarragon, sage, and a touch of white pepper. The tannins are light, smooth, and supple. The finish is deliciously long.

Ripe Bing cherry, black currant, blackberry, plum, and dried red cherry are followed by hints of fresh dill and fresh Serrano peppers in this elegant and food-friendly red wine. Sweet tobacco and baking spices with notes of black pepper and cloves, create a muscular yet balanced and complex red wine with a long finish.

This Bordeaux inspired blend shows notes of fresh, ripe Bing and Rainier cherries, blackberry, and black currant with hints of dry stone, dry autumn leaves, dry sage, black pepper, and baking spices. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot. Available with classic Schoolhouse label or Mona label.
