NEWS JUNE, 2007
As we head into another Summer at San Juan Vineyards, we look and admire our vineyards.
Chris Primus, our Winemaker/Viticulturist, has been busy tending the vineyard as well as the
wines. As you drive by, take a look at our vineyard as you pass,
and don't miss Mona the Camel on the other side of the road. We have a second label in honor of
Mona, "Mona Vino". The "Mona Vino"
is a blend of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet of 2003 vintage. It is available in the
tasting room only for $12 a bottle. It is listed under our wine section,
and is available for shipping.
Our Estate-Grown varietals, Madeleine Angevine and Siegerrebe are enjoying popularity in our Tasting Room and in other areas. A man walks into the wine shop in Quincy, WA and states "I'm here for another case of that wine - that I can't pronounce". He now knows how to pronounce Siegerrebe when he entertains his friends with a Puget Sound varietal in Eastern Washington. Yes, here are two unique varietals to have fun with your summer entertaining - both are excellent with shellfish and seafoods.
Colleen Conver is now our Tasting Room Manager. Colleen can be found in the
Tasting Room on most days. We have many news lines introduced into our tasting
room this Season including wonderful kitchen gadgets from Zyliss, a new line of
Ceramics with a Gardening flair, new books, and we await a new shipment of larger
wine racking. And, we carry a line of Arthur Cort pewter (mostly with a grape motif).
Colleen also manages our Outpourings Wine Club, and just completed the May
shipment to our many, growing list of wine club members. Check it out!!
Please consider San Juan Vineyards when entertaining your summer guests. Many
patrons stop by with their boxed lunch to enjoy on our deck with a glass of San Juan
Vineyards Estate-grown Siegerrebe.
Cheers!
