
SAN JUAN VINEYARDS 2004 SANGIOVESE
A smooth and lingering wine with lively strawberry and spice flavors. This wine starts with a nice nose of blackberry, cherry and vanilla. The finish is a great combination of tannins, fruit and a nice hint of oak.
The Sangiovese was open top fermented and aged in 80% New Hungarian Oak and 20% French dOak.

The Sangiovese fruit was harvested at Kestrel View Estates on October 27, 2004.
Food:
The Sangiovese is a great food partner for most Italian dishes, and also lamb chops.
This is our first vintage of Sangiovese, and it has done well in the awards arena earning a GOLD MEDAL, and TWO SILVER MEDALS. We are enjoying the wine and in presenting it to our patrons.
