SAN JUAN VINEYARDS 2005 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Rosy brick red color with a bouquet of mocha and homemade huckleberry jam. There’s a mouth full of gamey black currants and medium grained tannins with flavors carrying through to a long, pleasant finish.

The Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was sourced from four vineyards: Jones Vineyard with Brix of 26.4; Alder Creek’s Horse Heaven Hills with Brix of 26.5; Kestrel View Estates with Brix of 25.2; and Kiona Vineyards at Red Mountain with Brix of 26.2.

The Cabernet was barrel fermented for 20 months in French, American and Hungarian Oak.

The Cabernet was awarded a Silver Medal at the Tri-Cities Wine Competition and rated by NW Wine Palate in a recent issue.
