SAN JUAN VINEYARDS 2006 MERLOT

A full nose of fruit forward flavors come your way with blackberry and cherry carrying to the palate.   The finish is soft and lingers with hints of oak and chocolate.

The Merlot was sourced 100% from Kestrel View Estates, Yakima Valley, and hand-picked on October 9, 2006.  

The Merlot was Barrel aged for 20 months in French, American and Hungarian oak.
AWARDS:   To date (Sept. 2009), the 2006 Merlot has received Two Double Gold Medals – WA Wine Competition and West Coast Wine Competition (also BEST OF CLASS), a Gold at Northwest Wine Summit and Gold from Jerry Mead Competition.  

Bottling was on July 22, 2008 with 351 cases bottled.
