We proudly hold two Barrel Tastings a year -- one over Thanksgiving week-end as our Holiday tasting, and the other is in June -- our Summer tasting of new releases and what's  aging in the barrels.

For the Holiday tasting, we like to be in the winery building where everyone gathers around the barrels, and enjoys the commaraderie of other San Juan Vineyard customers.   It is always a delight when people come from off island and join in the fun.   We have customers come year after year to enjoy the wine tasting, shop for Christmas in the tasting room, and make other stops on the island such as the Crafts Festival.    The date for the Barrel Tasting is November 27, 2010.  

For the Summer Barrel tasting, we enjoy the sunshine and set up down by the Tasting Room.   Chris brings the barrels of wine down with the forklift, and a grand time is had with an outdoor BBQ going, the Tiki bar is set up with varietal tastings, and the tasting room hums.

Each year, we have a Harvest Festival.   This is always for the picking of the Siegerrebe vineyard.   It is a great time where our customers come help us out and enjoy the vineyard.   Yes, we have people that absolutely love to sit on a bucket and pick away for a few hours.  

We start picking in the morning and finish up around 3 in the afternoon -- just enough time to go home and relax or sit on the porch of the tasting room and enjoy some Siegerrebe!
Then, as evening arrives we start the Harvest Festival.   We sit around and tell wine stories, have some hearty fare from the grill, and drink some vino.   

We don't charge for our Harvest Festival, but do understand that there are people in the city that would like to pay to come and help out with the Harvest!!!
